Position Overview

The Tech Business Services Sr Manager will define, plan, develop and implement/consult on major IT strategies, processes, or on-going programs with multiple LOB cross technology impact or focused broad cross technology impact.

Specific activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides leadership and applies area of expertise to technology initiatives to develop programs that are effective and efficient and to build support for the strategies with LOB technology leadership client lines of business

  • Develops broad action plans to meet organizational goals/priorities

  • Oversees allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives

  • Manages a highly technical team and/or technical operation teams through lower level managers

  • Assists in execution and implementation and on-going operational management of processes as they are developed and may also be responsible for IT-related program design and oversight

  • Leads implementation of complex projects/initiatives impacting one or more lines of business

  • Interacts with senior leaders to provide support and drive strategic initiatives for the business

  • Recommends compliance and risk management requirements for supported area and works with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives including design controls, business process management and metrics

  • Serves as primary point of contact with Financial Industry Leaders for supporting business lines

  • Supports interfaces with Technology Industry Leaders, Analysts and Regulators

  • Drives for results through direct reports, matrix management and contractor/vendor managements

The candidate should be able to execute and manage application pipeline for modernization efforts and cloud adoption across multiple LOBs. Strong organization skills, relationship building skills, engagement and people management skills are essential. The candidate should also have skills to coordinate with the cloud platform team to drive conversations around prioritization of services enablement and platform readiness for cloud adoption dependencies.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technology experience

  • 5+ years of experience with strategic planning in a technology environment

  • 3+ years of experience with leadership in an enterprise technology environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience managing large or multiple technology development efforts within a major line of business

  • Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with developing and implementing reputational risk and environmental and social impact risk management

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to senior management

  • Strong execution and organization skills

  • Program management experience

  • Strong collaboration and partnering skills
