We are seeking qualified Software Engineer candidates who would be responsible for developing and maintaining Enrollment applications and services. This position requires collaboration with various technology teams, partnering with Business users and downstream application teams. The ideal candidate will:
Provide production and test environment support to will include oncall and deployment support during evenings and weekends.
Provide hands-on programming, unit testing and building high quality code that is manageable, reliable and maintainable
Identify important emerging technologies and leads in analysis of their benefits and impact.
Provide technical design, solution consultation and support in the development of web/service applications and programs.
Analyze business requirements, designs, writes functional system and technical specifications.
May lead projects, assignsdevelopment tasks, provide direction and guidance to team members.
Oversee overall systems testing including ET, SIT, and UAT etc.
Verify program logic by overseeing the preparation of good quality of code, best practices, testing strategy and debugging of programs.
Developsnew documentation and participates in the development of department technical procedures.
Provide guidance and directions in resolution of escalated issues and/or system problems.
Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees updating and testing of the business continuation plan.
Be responsible for maintaining SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) compliance and manage risks.
3+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services
5+ years of Java experience
2+ years of MongoDB experience
4+ years of application production support experience
3+ years of relational database experience
1+ years of experience leading multiple projects
3+ years of Spring framework experience such as Spring Boot
2 + years of experience with cloud based tools: Azure, PCF (Pivotal cloud foundry ) or a combination of both
5+ years of software engineering experience
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
An industry-standard technology certification
Other Desired Qualifications
2+ years hands on experience with in-memory databases such as Redis, MongoDB, or Cassandra
2+ years hands on experience in configuration and deployment of multi-tier applications using servers like WebLogic, Apache Tomcat etc
2+ years hands on development experience with IBM MQ Series, JMS and Kafka
