Request and compile freight quotes. Create operations reports in Excel. Review reports for missing information. Follow up with suppliers and internal departments. Compile information for upload into systems. Responsible for system accuracy and following detailed instructions for daily maintenance of data. Collect and record customs information from suppliers including country of origin. Audit commercial documents provided by shipping and suppliers. Audit freight invoices for accuracy. You will be accountable for supply chain services, inventory control, critical parts availability, material handling, import-export licensing, shipment of products, and third-party warehousing. You will evaluate customer support and field service commitments to ensure customer requirements are met. You will provide data analysis for production planning and volume studies; and participates in process/rating improvement efforts.
Day-to-day tracking of logistic activities
Monitor inbound deliveries
Investigate missed shipments
Handle issues at Customs
Monthly logistic cost control
Coordinate and implement logistical projects
Develop logistic solutions
YOU MUST HAVE
3 years ERP System experience. SAP preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent
3 years of experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
2 years Logistics, Transportation, Trade Compliance or Supply Chain equivalent experience.
Experience operating counter balance and/or pallet jack.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to professionally interact with both internal and external suppliers and customers.
Finds the ideal balance between making decisions independently and seeking approval when appropriate.
Proactively and clearly communicates important, comprehensive, and specific information that others need.
Holds self and others fully accountable for achieving objectives even when requirements change or are difficult to perform.
Good organizational and time -management abilities.
Focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
