The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company’s risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.
The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.
The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo’s risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.
The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers.
Role focused on engaging and collaborating with Corporate Properties Group (CPG) functional groups and strategic partners, to implement/monitor/track sustainability strategies and action plans promoting more sustainable operations and practices. Works with key stakeholders to develop and pilot new technologies/strategies in support of sustainability goals, actively tracking and monitoring results to drive fact-based decision-making to operationalize successful technologies/strategies. Responsible to iterate through early proof-of-concept phases to close gaps supporting a seamless hand off to functional teams for full-scale deployment. Responsible to develop KPIs/metrics/reporting for all business-as-usual sustainability practices with an emphasis on continuous improvement. Areas of focus include energy/water efficiency, waste reduction/diversion, employee/customer health/wellbeing, indoor environmental quality, janitorial/landscaping/pest management, electric vehicle charging, smart irrigation, pollinator gardens, maintenance of WF sustainability requirements (basis of design/owner project requirements) and greenhouse gas emissions reductions. Role requires both tactical research/execution of pilot projects as well as ability to convey ideas and program strategies to executive management in a clear and concise way. Financial acumen and ability to provide cost/benefit analysis on technologies and programs deployed is a key deliverable of this role.
- 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills
Knowledge and understanding of analytical methods used to: measure and communicate key performance metrics (KPIs)
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills

Demonstrated work experience in the area of environmental sustainability.
Team player with strong communication, judgment and problem solving skills - emphasis on intellectual curiosity.
Demonstrated experience in environmental/sustainability knowledge and application with technical understanding of commercial building infrastructure technologies.
Proven project/process management skills working with multiple teams, managing vendors, developing strong program accountability, creating/sustaining partnerships and focusing on results.
Ability to implement the best possible solution with excellent influencing skills sufficient to sell solutions to senior management.
Excellent negotiation, collaboration and training skills.
